Programs & Services
C the FuTuRE is an acronym for The Orion House's approach to the programs and services the agency provides. Collectively, C the FuTuRE is an effective methodology that blends both Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Clinical Sociology. Over the past fifteen years, The Orion House success stories have continued to speak to the effectiveness of this treatment modality.
C stands for Community that represents: employment and internships; community service; adopt a highway; and other volunteer opportunities. The intention of The Orion House is to foster a sense of community within each adolescent.
F stands for Family…it is the belief of The Orion House that the family is a key component in an adolescent's treatment program. The Orion House partners with the natural family -or legal guardians/support members- of the adolescent to support their treatment and healthy reintegration into subsequent living arrangements. Each adolescent and their family/support members are afforded the opportunity to participate in educational and therapeutic meetings with our clinical staff. Opportunities are provided for both parties to work through the issues that have resulted in the adolescent's placement in the Orion House program.
u stands for the adolescent who has to recognize, internalize and gain strength in this treatment program. Maturation and growth will result in the reflection needed to help the adolescent determine why he was placed into The Orion House program. This process will ultimately support an opportunity for the adolescent to earn his way back to his community.
T stands for Therapy... and represents the vehicle for change within The Orion House. Individual and group therapy opportunities are provided that focus on themes such as Mental Health Management; Anger Management; Grief, Social Skills Training, Adventure Programming and Drug & Alcohol Counseling.

R stands for the Residential aspect of that treatment program. As a resident of The Orion House, adolescents accept personal responsibility and work to recognize their own individual social deficits. Self-reflection, coupled with the in-house program supports, will help to build each adolescent's sense of pride in their ability to decide between right and wrong.
E stands for Education, which is the only effective method to rehabilitate adolescents. The Orion House uses the re-education methodology to help adolescents overcome social skill deficits. Ultimately the re-education process lends itself to the adolescent's self management of behavioral and emotional difficulties. While in The Orion House program adolescents can attend a public school, The Granite Hill School or work toward receiving a G.E.D. with tutorial services afforded through Title One funding. Additionally the adolescents of The Orion House are taught Independent Life Skills though both academic and hands-on/experiential venues.
